Minute Man El Dorado

El Dorado Minute Man #14

Although almost all Minute Man locations dwindled away with time, one proud restaurant has remained. The El Dorado restaurant in Arkansas is the last location of the beloved franchise. If you want to taste these out-of-this-world charcoal grilled hamburgers, stop by our location on 318 W. Main Street right by the downtown square.

This is reminiscent of the classic Minute Man restaurants with a bit of a twist. In addition to Minute Man staples, you’ll find Mexican food favorites that are exclusively served at this location. Locals stand in line for hours, waiting for one of these fresh charcoal grilled hamburgers.  However, it isn’t just locals who love the restaurant—people come from all over to share the full Minute Man experience.

Charcoal Grilled Hamburgers and Other Tastes from the Past

So much history is in this one location! Try any of the classic charcoal grilled hamburgers like the “Big M” and some fresh French fries. Trust us when we say you won’t be able to get enough of the relish sauce or taste the one-of-a-kind flavor of the #2 Smoke Burger.

As the owner and operator, Linda McGoogan has been flipping burgers at the “Last Minute Man Standing” since 1984. She started working at Minute Man back in the 70s. She loved it so much that she’s made her career out of running the last living legend and protecting the famous brand name

This business has established a strong reputation in the community. Ms. McGoogan’s unwavering work ethic and the classic Minute Man burgers and atmosphere have made this Minute Man stand the test of time. It’s a family business run by Linda, her husband, Paul, and their son, Brent. The food and service have made this a favorite El Dorado restaurant, as evidenced by the store’s recent selection as a finalist for the 2019 People Choice Award for favorite local restaurants!

Wide-Spread Recognition for the El Dorado Restaurant

You’ll find Minute Man #14 and its story featured in Arkansas Food: The A to Z of Eating in the Natural State. The patrons this restaurant has served are a testament to its success. Past customers include Arkansas senators David Pryor and Dale Bumpers, Arkansas governor Asa Hutchinson, and even former president and first lady Bill and Hillary Clinton.

This is delicious food at an affordable price that you can enjoy in a comfortable, homey atmosphere. The food is fast and can easily be eaten on the go. Whether you want to taste a burger that’s reminiscent of your childhood or you want to taste this classic for the first time, the trip is well worth it.

Minute Man 14 is a landmark that we are happy is still up and running. You’ll be mesmerized by the irresistible scent of the charcoal grilled hamburgers as soon as you enter. You can even watch Linda flipping burgers right behind the counter! Once you’ve tried Minute Man, you’ll be hooked for life. We are excited to launch more Minute Man locations soon and make Minute Man favorites more accessible to our eager fans.
